COVID-19 Protocols

COVID-19 Protocols

Dear patients and families,

I am excited to let you know that we are beginning the process of gradually reopening our orthodontic office. Please understand that your safety and the safety of our staff have always been a top priority. We are implementing some new protocols to keep everyone protected at this time. Please read the important points below and become familiar with them prior to arriving at your scheduled appointment:

Patient Forms

  • Prior to your appointment, all patients and/or parents MUST fill out a health screening form.  Please visit in order to complete the health screening and informed consent agreement. Please understand that we are unable to see you if we have not received these forms. Please try to fill out these forms closer to your scheduled appointment date. We can not accept them too far in advance.

  • Patient check in/arrival: Upon arrival, please notify us by TEXT message to 484-757-1819 indicating patients name and the make and color of your vehicle. A staff member will either return a text message asking the patient to enter the office building or someone will be out to your vehicle to accompany the patient inside. It might be a good idea to save this number into your phone contacts ahead of time as: “Gutsche Ortho Confirmation”.
  • Each patient will be asked to use our complimentary hand sanitizing station prior to entering and exiting the office. We will also perform a contactless temperature reading and prescreening process before continuing with the appointment. In accordance with CDC guidelines, anyone presenting a fever of 100F will be asked to reschedule.
  • To anyone accompanying a patient to their visit, we strongly prefer that you wait in the car during the exam unless assistance is absolutely necessary.
  • If a patient must be accompanied by another individual into the office, we ask you to limit that to 1 individual per patient. We will assure that the patient is safely escorted back to their vehicle at the conclusion of the appointment.
  • Restroom and Brushing Facilities: At this time, our restrooms are for staff only. Our toothbrushing station is now strictly a hand washing station only. We ask that all patients use the restroom and brush their teeth at home before arriving to their appointment.
  • We will continue to offer virtual appointments for check-up exams, recall appointments and retainer checks.
  • Please call ahead if you are experiencing an emergency or if you have a broken appliance. There may be longer wait times for patients who have not notified us of their emergency prior to arrival.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding! We look forward to seeing many smiling faces again and want to do everything we can to ensure a safe, healthy, and happy orthodontic experience.
